Below you can find two scenarios of our Jeep tours through southern Morocco.

If you have any other ideas or more time to spend – together, we can tailor the trip of your dreams! We are open for any suggestions as our motto is "No problem on the Sahara " . During each of our expeditions we move byoff-road vehicles operated by experienced drivers who combine the ability to move through the wilderness with knowledge of Morocco and its history. On our way we use checked accommodation and cherish the delicious food in traditional Berber pubs. Keen drivers can try their hand driving their own or a rented car!

ROUTE 1 - QUICK RALLY

3-day expedition along the route: Marrakech - High Atlas - Quarzazate - M'hamid - Sahara Desert, Nomad Camp - Iriqui Lake - Taznakh - Marrakech.

Day 1 - Mark - M'hamid
The expedition begins early in the morning , starting from your hotel in Marrakech. We travel along amazingly picturesque and the highest road in Morocco, leading through the High Atlas and Tichka pass ( 2260 m) . We get it till Quarzazate, where we visit the Kasbah Taorit. Next, we follow the valley of the Draa river overgrown by thousands of date palms, until we reach Zagora - the city where for centuries many trade routes crossed. The day finishes in M'hamid , a town where civilization ends and the endless sands of the Sahara begins. We spend the night in a Nomad tent ( or if you prefer - in the hotel) .

Day 2 - M'hamid - Sahara, Nomad Camp
After breakfast, we visit M'hamid , a small town that was once a big marketplace and destination point for hearse, and today is the last outpost of civilization on the way to the heart of the Sahara . After sightseeing and the necessary shopping we set off on an off -road adventure in the desert. We go towards the dunes of Erg Chigaga - along the way stopping at picturesque oasis. Our destination would be Nomad Camp, where the cars are changed on camels so we can ride them to see the sunset. The evening we spend in the camp, around the campfire, trying traditional Moroccan food and music-making . We spend the night under the open sky or in the cozy, comfortable tents.

Day 3 - Sahara Desert, Nomad Camp - Marrakech
After a spectacular and unforgettable sunrise and Moroccan breakfast, we set off to Foum Zguid . We use the old route of the rally Paris - Dakkar: by Iriqui Lake and Fossil Mountain. We eat lunch in the Berber village of Taznakh and after that through the High Atlas we return to Marrakech

ROUTE 2 - THE VALLEY OF A THOUSAND AND ONE KASBAH

4-day expedition along the route: Marrakech - High Atlas - Ait- Ben- Haddou - Quarzazate - Tammougalt - Zagora - M'hamid - Sahara Desert, Nomad Camp - Iriqui Lake - Tazenkht - Marrakech.

Day 1 - Marrakech - Tammougalt
We leave from the hotel in Marrakech towards the High Atlas Mountains. We drive through the pass of Tichka (2260m.npm) - extremely picturesque and highest road in Morocco. We visit the historical sixteenth Kasba Ait-Ben-Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Continued trip will led through the valley of the Draa river Quarzazate, numerous oases and ancient Kasbah. The day is finished by dinner and overnight stay in a charming riad in an oasis Tamnougalt.

Day 2 - Tammougalt - Sahara Desert, Nomad Camp
After breakfast we visit the charming Kasbah in Tamnougalt and the overgrown with thousands of date palms oasis. Later, driving through Zagora, we get to M'hamid, the city where civilization ends and the Sahara’s wilderness begins. To Sand dunes of Erg Chigaga , we get by covering few kilometers long route through harsh rocky landscape, green oases, dunes and nomadic settlements. The day ends at Nomad Camp, where we have a traditional Moroccan dinner, around the campfire while listening to Berber songs. We stay in cozy tents or in the open air under the light of thousands stars.

Day 3 - Nomad Camp
Day 3 is a car-free day. After a short walk to admire the spectacular Saharan sunrise and consuming nutritious breakfast, we go for trekking with camels through the sand dunes of Chigaga. After about a two-hour journey we stop for lunch, which we prepare by ourselves for you in a convenient, shaded area. No meal tastes better on the desert than warm bread baked in the fire (sand bread) and fresh Moroccan specialties. If conditions are favorable, we also stay for the traditional mint tea in the settlement of nomadic family. For dinner and sleeping time we go back to the Nomad Camp.

Day 4 - Nomad Camp - Marrakech
After breakfast and saying goodbye to the camp we head towards Foum Zguid. We use the old route of the rally Paris - Dakkar: by Iriqui Lake and Fossil Mountain. Iriqui Lake is a dry lake, which vast and almost completely flat surface allows you to observe the phenomenon of mirage. Lunch is served in the Berber village of Taznakh and after that through the High Atlas we return to Marrakech.

Route of a thousand and one Kasbah can be extended by spending an extra night and morning in M'hamid. An obligatory element of such a stay should be a visit to the hammam - a traditional Moroccan bath. We also encourage you to spend a few more days in the camp - this is an option for those who besides a great need of adventure also need a peaceful rest and relaxation in a unique natural setting.
